*Thought I'd post real quick, while I'm taking a coffee and pee break from editing* LOL.
The post I lost, was it yesterday, was about how I research. I've said before, I look for the unique, I don't want the (everyone did) stuff, and I stumble across things I've never seen in books, doing that. (Thankfully)
I read divorce transcripts or newspapers from the era, parish rolls or even health reports on the era. Anyway, when I was researching coffee houses and hotels for book 3, I came across a link on women boxers, I kept following some of the names in the handbills from 1700-1800's (There was boxers earlier who were female), but somewhere in there I found the "boxing Baroness" a titled lady who boxed both to amuse her sport mad husband and to keep in shape. I found that fascinating. You know Gentleman Jackson's, often mentioned in ... >> full

I'll be editing the (Rakehell books this week) which means I won't see much daylight, lol.
Hope all the rest of you are doing something more enjoyable (like reading something good)
I'll post here when I hand the books over before they get their final look see, and then start appearing at Bookstores.

Rakehell's daughter (s) is now finished. a set of 3 novels & one novella. *Alexandria*Valerie*Johanna* and...Rakehell's heart.
I need to clean my house Friday (seriously) and then Sat is family day.
I have to edit each of them, again, even though I try and do that as I write, my mind out thinks my fingers sometimes. (dread that part, I'm already stocking up on eye drops and Alieve) I know I'll be deep in that all next week, before I pass them on for the final look see.
The covers are set, so that's all good. I gotta write blurbs though (plot condense into 100 words, lol) which I'm good at most of the time. Learned it from a darn good author back in the day. (although doing it for a series and not stand alone is def tricky stuff)
Amazingly, (in a good way) between writing on these (which has ... >> full

67 pages on the last book, as of today. At this rate, I'll have it done, maybe by the weekend, and can spend next week getting the edits finished. Since this is a novella, sort of an extra story just to tie up the HEA for two of the secondary C's, I'm not really worried about page and word count. I'll let them tell the story, and end it where it ends. (I feel since they were in the 3 main books, they deserve that. (wink)
I hope your week has gone well? It was 95 here today and has been so oppressively hot, I've jumped in the pool most evenings just to cool off. (pool water is tepid at best) If I didn't have that, I'd keep my head under the garden hose (LOL) just walking to the driveway mail box makes U sweat.
Happy reading all. D ...
