Have a great weekend all. I've got a busy one with fam. I stopped at the last scenes of the Medieval. Methinks it will be closer to 350 pages (grin.) But that's all good. I'll post sometime in the week. Meantime, happy reading. D

You'll also find lots of manuscript prep info on Holly Lisle's site for submitting proper ms format to agents and publishers.
TMK Harly accepts computer word count, but print houses no. (and) Round off the number you reach to the highest.
Hope this helps y'all. D

Medieval is now at 185. pages, the way I figure it, I have the last Tourney (a judicial duel or pas d'armes) to write, which will be a free for all, or "Melee" which normally happened between Knights on say, French and English side to prove their prowess in battle, or a free for all, thing during war. My knight just issued an open challenge to his accusers and to absolve his wife of murder... considering I have a few other threads to tie up, I may reach 250 plus pages with this story. I'm never sure unless I'm trying to hit under a word count for a short story, otherwise I just let it go at its own speed and length. :)

I've the medieval at page 141 now. I had to look up a few spellings last night since a lot of the Tourney terms in my year of 1246-1260 plus were French, and they changed over time as the sport/combat became more regulated, thankfully in my era it is still blood and guts dangerous, lol. Which works for my hero. If I use anything outside era to keep from using too much an avg reader wouldn't be able to define, Ill put an author note explaining all that. I know some writers get exact but it can be irritating to see words not in gen use too much so I use only a few. Thank goodness there are so many university library sites and medieval re-enactment sites and history on the net. I try and find 3 sources to confirm my research, just to be on the safe side- of ... >> full

Got in around 3.20 Am. I had great time with the sibs, laughing, talking, eating, and dancing on the lawn, rofl. I'm sore all over. Of course between my in laws, arriving there the night before (they live only a few miles from Mom) and my mom's, I lost the charger for my new camera-the worst part was, I hit something and deleted a whole day of hilarious photos of us goofing off. I got home with 40 pics, and could kick myself for losing all those pics I had hubby take. I need to sit down and read this blasted book about how to use the thing next time. Any hoo, got to see some of the kids and my nevvie Tim and niece Sabrina and her girls (wow those kids have grown up fast) and beautiful. My niece Sasha and I were teaching each other dances (me from ... >> full
