Enjoy the weekend everyone. I'm cooking some roasts and potatoes, lol. Roasting bags are the greatest invention ever, the only bad thing is that on a hot day my little kitchen gets stiffling.
I'll post something sunday, hopefully more interesting. I've got some business to take care of on Monday ( got far, far behind this month) sigh. In any event, I hope you enjoy your days off relaxing or being with family/friends. As always, happy reading, D

We need it here in the south, I've still got bald patches in the lawn, despite throwing out grass seed. On the missing chapt, I think I know where they might be, lol. we have been tearing down fixing this old house for a couple of years, my office/only spare room, is to be a much needed bathroom (the other is minute, tiny teeny) and all the boxes from the office are in the family room piled high amid tools. Hmmm. Maybe after I clean the rest of the house, I'll brave that pile and dig through it.
I'm writing on a short story, well.... I'm piddling with it. I think the muse is ready but needs some exercise. That normally means writing, starting, stopping, testing plots and characters. But what I had written I recall, that Dex and Loren had two boys and a girl, the girl was gangly, plain, one of the boys was very into swords and artistic, which took some getting used to for Dex, I recall a touching scene where he and his father hadn't spoken, because Dex didn't know how to relate to this son who was very much like Loren's father, and the son had painted a pic of Dex riding the range. I recall that Selena was in love with Travis, who had gone off on a cattle buying trip. Also Dex's girls with Loren had him wrapped around their finger.....(grin)
Dang, wish I could find that chapter, I'd ... >> full

I debated posting or not today, for obvious reasons; grief and being tired. I normally keep my private and personal life separate here, but you know, I am one of those people who pretty much is, what you see is what you get, lol. No pretenses. So indulge me. I'm a writer after all. Everything I feel comes out in words, on paper, in books. :) It did occur to me while reflecting on the passing of my brother, that my story telling is tied into my roots, and as at brother's wake, we had a song he had written for his son and composed, framed on the casket. My sister, Mary had written a poem which she read, and I and my sisters sang. My son made the trip in long enough to play three of bro's favorite songs, (Simple Man and free bird by L skinnard, Tears in heaven, ... >> full

I've been gone all week, sadly my brother passed away on Tuesday. I and three sisters, his wife, was with him. He was buried on Thursday at our home place in W.Va.
After some rest up time, I'll post a catch up.
Thanks all.
