Everyone seems to be avoiding New Years resolutions, and no wonder, lol. 09 was a crazy year in the publishing industry. So many changes, so many up and down emotions, stops and starts. I'm not into predictions but I've seen some of the quieter and more daring ideas become fact, and I've watched the "little guys" remain persistent, consistent, determined and hard working, in spite of trends--and come out more stable than the big dogs. Authors are much savvier than they were 7 years ago, and I mean both print authors and e authors. Sure some things are still screwed up, some of the drama is still around, and likely always will be. Misinformation is still repeated (esp about Indie authors) because there's no format for open productive dialogue (for some reason people would rather argue your experience than listen and absorb) shrug. New Year

I'll be glad to see 2009 go. lol. I'll wish everyone a Happy 2010 now, because I don't know how often I'll be on line. On the puter, yes, but web surfing, no. I'm trying to clear up some year end stuff.
I have hopes that in the New Year I'll get the evesromance site freshly updated also (links to sony and B and N, also my twitter and Facebook) We've been so crazy busy with real life since Oct, everything kinda got lost in the chaos. I'm hoping to get some writing done today- I kind of left a story hanging mid way before Christmas (always like to get over the half way hump before leaving a story for days on end. ) so my plan is 4 chapters and then I can go clean my house, lol, and do all the stuff that has to be done. Hubby will also have his first day off in Forrrevvver on Monday, and I wanna clear the day to spend it with him.
Here is hoping today is a productive writing day, then.
Happy reading all. D

We were going into transition with the sale of the books in retail outlets (I'm at B and N) but haven't seen me at Sony yet. And there are still books to get uploaded and converted from the backlist. I've several new books to bring out, needless to say, my trio of winter stories aren't going to get up before Christmas, but since they are "winter" and not Christmas per se, I'm okay with that. I've realized before, that delays on the other end (as with retail) and their constant change of format, happens. ... >> full
